Stand Alula - MIPCOM Cannes 2022
Film Alula is a film agency established in 2020 by the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) with a mandate to promote and support international, regional and local film and TV production in the Alula region, a area of outstanding natural and cultural significance, located in the northwest of Saudi Arabia. The agency has developed a film-friendly ecosystem and thanks to the variety of historic locations and untouched landscapes, Film Alula strives to become a world-class film hub.
Design details
For their first presence at Mipcom, Film Alula chose Button Design to design and implement their project. The central feature of the stand is a 3.50m x 2.50m indoor LED wall which showed magnificent images of the landscapes proposed by the agency for film shoots.
Inspiration was taken from the stepped motif in their brand guidelines to build a custom-made overhead fascia which was also reflected in the wood inlay in the carpet.
Strong photographic images were placed on large panels to create a semi private lounge area with more images and the 3D cut out logos on the oak finish walls which contrasted with the clean lines of the white furniture.
