{"id":10211,"date":"2022-09-29T15:12:01","date_gmt":"2022-09-29T15:12:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/button.fr\/major-works-are-to-continue-in-cannes-over-the-next-few-years\/"},"modified":"2022-10-18T13:53:24","modified_gmt":"2022-10-18T13:53:24","slug":"major-works-are-to-continue-in-cannes-over-the-next-few-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/button.fr\/en\/major-works-are-to-continue-in-cannes-over-the-next-few-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Major works are to continue in Cannes over the next few years."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Back in March 2020 we announced <a href=\"https:\/\/button.fr\/en\/carlton-hotel-to-remain-closed-for-renovations\/\">the closure until Spring 2023 of the <strong>Carlton Hotel<\/strong><\/a> for major renovations, it is now the turn of two other emblematic locations in the city of <strong>Cannes<\/strong> to get a makeover.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The boulevard de la Croisette<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Following a competition to transform the iconic sea front boulevard the winning project was submitted by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/snohetta.com\">the Norwegian architecture firm Sn\u00f8hetta<\/a><\/strong> and the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.castrodenissof.com\">urban studio of Roland Castro<\/a><\/strong>. Under their supervision the renovation works will cover <strong>an area of 170,000m2<\/strong> with a budget of approximately <strong>160 million euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The future <strong>Croisette<\/strong> will be dressed in red in homage to the red carpet of the <strong>Palais des Festivals<\/strong>. The first phase should be completed in 2025.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Palais des Festivals<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Major interior works will begin in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.palaisdesfestivals.com\">Palais des Festivals<\/a><\/strong>, with the first phase to include the salon \u2018Ambassadeurs&#8217; on the 4th Floor as well as the promenade area in front of the famous event venue.<\/p>\n\n<p>Works are scheduled to take 8 years.
